Last Thursday, Lara Media Services CEO Victoria Lara, had the pleasure of recognizing Amador Bustos for his help with the Latino immigrant community where he received the American Dreamer award presented by Causa Oregon. Amador is the sole owner of Bustos Media, with over radio channels all over the nation. He moved to the Portland Metropolitan area several years ago in hopes of creating more opportunities and find the American Dream. Now, a successful entrepreneur, he has not only achieved that dream, he has pushed to help others try and attain that same dream as well. Amador has assisted Causa Oregon with registering people to vote and spreading important information to the Latino community through jaripeos, dances and various events throughout the year. Without his help, word wouldn’t spread so quickly to our community in regards to significant issues Latinos to face in Oregon and less action would be taken.
While presenting Amador, Victoria passionately advocated that there were many positive words that could describe him, but the two she wanted to highlight are trustful and courageous.
“Everyone who works in media and marketing knows how difficult it is to trust and find someone who is reliable. With Amador, he always keeps his word, and the promises he makes. You can always rely on his support. I trust him because I know his intentions come from a noble heart. He is courageous because he starts over, again and again cuantas veces sea necesario to keep growing. Amador has the courage to accept his own mistakes and of others to learn and continue investing in our community. I admire the courage he has to love his wife and daughters, to even take a dance class for them (laughs)! They say that owning ones success is key to achieving more of it, you Amador have done that in a unique and honorable way. Please continue doing your work, we really need you! ”-Victoria Lara.
