“Viva Mexico!” – cried Armando Ortiz Rocha, the new consul of Mexico in Portland.
“Viva!” – Chanted back the more than 10,000 people that attended El Grito celebration this past September 15 at Pioneer Square.
El Grito NW 2014 was truly a wonderful and successful celebration of our Mexican heritage. The pride and the passion that the hundreds of Portland residents from Mexico, Mexican descendants and multicultural attendees were feeling during this magical time was amazing!
Not even on a Monday, which for most attendees was just a regular work day, stopped them from coming to celebrate with their fellow patriots this day of such significant importance for our Latino community. Mandos Mundo Entertainment and Lara Media Services look forward to El Grito NW 2015 and creating more memories to last us a lifetime! ¡Gracias a todos! ¡Viva México!
