I will never forget when my son said those words to me five years ago. We had spent the day at a temporary shelter for the homeless; and while I could only see sorrow, he was only able to see happiness and hope.
Today I want to spread his joy and faith to everyone. After a long weekend filled with food, love, families, friends, and billions of dollars spent on flat screen TVs, I want you to remember that today is Giving Tuesday.
I urge you to remember that we are stronger when we work together. We are meant to be a community; and when we contribute, when we volunteer, when we donate, we become a strong community!
Love is a force and not a product. We flourish when we contribute and when we divide what we have. Today help those in need sharing the little or much you can. Share your time, donate a dollar, give a smile, spread your love.
